Job Summary
Director of Civil Engineering responsible for building and leading a civil engineering/land development team, actively seeking and securing engineering clientele through strategic outreach, and overseeing design from conceptualization to completion. Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, coordinating with client staff and internal teams, enforcing quality control on design documents, leading the Civil3D-enabled design of grading, stormwater, utilities, roadways, and site layout, reviewing and sealing drawings and reports, and managing project profitability, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously.
Required Qualifications
- North Carolina, Professional Engineer License (P.E.)
- 8-12 years of experience in civil engineering, particularly related to land development
- Proficiency in Civil3D software is required
- Strong local experience and knowledge of the reporting area, with established relationships that will help foster new business opportunities and strengthen our presence in these markets.
