Job Summary

Senior Director of Catering Sales in West Hollywood, CA, responsible for leading field-based luxury catering and venue sales, driving multimillion-dollar annual revenue through outbound networking, and cultivating relationships with planners, venues, and corporate clients. Lead tastings, proposals, and presentations; collaborate with Culinary, Production, Beverage, Staffing, and Operations teams to ensure exceptional event execution; expand presence in Southern California markets (Orange County and Greater LA); maintain forecasting, pipeline tracking, and revenue reporting; travel within California for meetings and client engagement; serve as a brand ambassador and drive growth through strategic partnerships.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in catering sales, luxury hospitality sales, event production sales, or venue sales
  • Minimum 5+ years in a senior sales leadership role
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in hospitality or events
  • Existing book of business with proven ability to generate substantial annual revenue
  • Existing network of planners, producers, venues, agencies, corporate contacts, and hospitality professionals
  • Demonstrated success producing and personally closing $2M+ in annual catering or event related revenue
  • Experience selling both venue based and offsite catering events preferred
  • Ability to travel throughout California (primarily centered around Los Angeles) for meetings, tours, tastings, networking events, and client visits
  • Flexible schedule with availability for occasional evening networking events and hospitality functions
  • KPIs & Performance Expectations: Produce a minimum of $750,000 in food and beverage revenue within the first 12 months; Produce a minimum of $2,000,000 in annual food and beverage revenue after Year 1; Expand strategic referral partnerships and repeat client business
  • Compensation expectations: Base salary $90,000 to $110,000 annually; Commission with on-target earnings $150,000 - $200,000; 2 weeks PTO; holidays; benefits; 401(k)
  • Travel requirement: Ability to travel throughout California (primarily centered around Los Angeles)
  • Existing book of business with proven ability to generate substantial annual revenue
  • Experience using Tripleseat strongly preferred

  • Collaborative cross-department engagement across Culinary, Production, Beverage, Staffing, and Operations teams
  • Experience selling both venue-based and offsite catering events preferred
  • Expert understanding of offsite catering operations and logistics
  • Prior success in generating multimillion-dollar revenue in catering or event spaces
  • Existing leadership experience in a senior sales capacity
  • Proven ability to develop polished proposals, presentations, and client-facing materials
  • Proven ability to manage forecasting, pipeline tracking, and revenue reporting
  • Strong presence within the hospitality and events industry (networking, tastings, industry organizations)
  • Experience closing high-value corporate events, brand activations, and nonprofit galas
  • Proficiency with CRM and pipeline-management tools
  • Ability to travel within Southern California and California-wide markets
