Job Summary
Director of Catering & Event Operations leads catering logistics planning, coordination, execution, and quality control for events; collaborates with Event/Catering Sales and Culinary teams; responsible for client relationships, event logistics, budgeting/forecasting, vendor management, and team leadership to ensure seamless, memorable events. Key duties include developing event orders and timelines, coordinating with Sales and Culinary teams, overseeing setup/breakdown, ensuring equipment availability, leading weekly BEO meetings, managing budgets and costs, maintaining client communications, negotiating vendor contracts, and ensuring compliance with local/state/federal laws. Requires strong interpersonal/leadership skills, problem-solving, financial acumen, and ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays; outdoor venues experience preferred; 6+ years catering operations/event management; familiarity with Tripleseat a plus.
