Job Summary
Solicit new catering accounts and sustain relationships with existing clients to meet revenue goals. Coordinate client functions, manage the function diary, and adjust space for maximum revenue potential. Respond to inquiries immediately, follow up on turnovers within 24 hours, and maintain pricing integrity while proposing upscale menus. Interact with outside vendors, collaborate with F&B managers, and conduct departmental training. Be visible on the floor during events, use client feedback to improve service quality, and participate in required programs. Maintain regular attendance and comply with Highgate Hotel Standards.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 2year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- 4year college degree and at least 2 year of related experience
- Must be proficient in Windows
- Company approved spreadsheets
- word processing
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all level of employees and guests
- Must be able to communicate in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Must maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards
- Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Must include wearing nametags
- Must comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
- Must be comfortable in problem solving with client relationships
- Must have a strong knowledge of weddings
- Must understand the importance of prospecting in creating new sales opportunities
- Must be able to coordinate and service client functions
- Must ensure customer satisfaction
- Must maintain profitable operations
- Must maintain high quality products and service levels
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in Delphi preferred
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required
