Job Summary
Director of Catering is responsible for all aspects of catering sales and management to include development, planning, and performance of all sales duties related to Catering Sales. Successfully negotiates and closes sales that will maximize space and achieve/exceed catering goals. Listens to guests’ needs, analyzes information, and creates custom proposals that exceed guest expectations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include generating and developing new catering business, maintaining client relationships, reviewing contracts, extensive guest contact, pursuing new business, ensuring contracts are executed accurately, providing exceptional service to accounts, creating action plans to grow sales, conducting site tours, and acting as ambassador for the company with strong communication, organization, and leadership. Supervisory responsibilities include hiring/training and managing staff. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years related experience or equivalent combination. COMPETENCIES emphasize problem solving, customer service, teamwork, ethics, leadership, organizational support, judgment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS describe standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and environmental exposures. SALARY: $115k-$125k. Required Qualifications
