Job Summary
Director of Produce to lead strategy, procurement, merchandising, and growth of Ferraro Foods' fresh produce category, overseeing program development across fruits, vegetables, organic, and seasonal offerings; collaborate with Procurement, Sales, Operations, Merchandising, and supplier partners; drive category performance, negotiate contracts, develop pricing programs, and lead supplier onboarding and continuous improvement; present category strategies and market insights to executive leadership; support sales teams with category expertise and product education; require 10+ years in related roles, Bachelor's degree preferred, and travel ~10-20%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Food Science, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in procurement, merchandising, or category management with a focus on fresh produce
- Experience within foodservice distribution strongly preferred
- Ability to travel approximately 10-20% as needed
