Job Summary
Directs and coordinates the Cardiopulmonary Department operations under the COO, ensuring integration with organizational functions, regulatory compliance, and quality of care. Key responsibilities include planning staff coverage and schedules within budget, overseeing payroll and personnel records, providing orientation and continuing education, contributing to quality improvement and policy development, supporting business planning and resource allocation, and maintaining safety and confidentiality. Requires graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, Texas licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, BLS within 30 days, ACLS/PALS/NRP within 90 days, and at least three years of clinical RT experience with prior supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Current State of Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support & NRP certifications within 90 days of employment
- Three years of clinical RT experience with prior supervisory experience
