Job Summary
Director of Business Services at the University of North Florida, reporting to an Assistant Vice President or higher, provides leadership, direction, and operational oversight for a diverse portfolio of auxiliary and business service functions on campus, including Bookstore, Convenience Copier and Pay-for-Print, Food Services, ID Card and Ozzie Bucks programs, Vending, and related operations. Responsible for contract development and management with third parties, budgeting across units, strategic planning, technology systems oversight (ID card, POS, print management), and driving service improvements and revenue opportunities. Leads a team of administrative and professional staff, ensures compliance with university policies and regulatory requirements, and engages stakeholders to deliver high-quality services to 17,000+ students, faculty, staff, and campus visitors. The role emphasizes financial accountability, KPI-driven performance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement in a higher education setting.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
