Job Summary
Director of Business Leisure Travel responsible for leading strategic development, sales, and revenue generation across transient corporate and luxury leisure travel segments for a premier luxury hotel in Chicago. Drives top-line revenue by acquiring, retaining, and growing corporate accounts, luxury travel agencies, consortia partnerships, entertainment and sports travel, and high-net-worth leisure clients. Develop and execute sales plans, manage key accounts, maintain relationships with travel managers and agencies, analyze market data, collaborate with Revenue Management, target finance/tech/healthcare/legal/professional services industries, and lead cross-functional efforts to grow ADR and market share. Mentor and lead junior sales professionals to ensure alignment with the hotel's luxury positioning and brand standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of progressive hospitality sales experience, including luxury hotel experience
- Extensive experience partnering with high-end and luxury travel agencies to drive leisure revenue
- Extensive experience partnering with business/corporate travel managers
- Strong understanding of Opera/OperaCloud and Delphi
- Lanyon, Agency360, Hoteligence, and Demand360 knowledge
- Strong guest relations and client service expertise
- Strong analytical skills and KPI tracking
- Leadership and team-building abilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Strong analytical and financial acumen
- WPM typing at 60
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations
