Job Summary

Director of Business Development responsible for leading a team of Physician and Clinical Liaisons to grow UVVC's revenue and market share, with travel up to 50% and a focus on developing sales plans, coaching, and performance management across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Drives referral growth by partnering with physicians and practices, communicates strategy and territory plans, conducts regular strategy meetings, manages budgets, and ensures regulatory compliance (HIPAA, Stark, SOX). Requires collaboration with Talent Acquisition, HR, Operations, Training, and COO to develop training programs and optimize the referral funnel. Requires 5+ years outside sales/business development experience, 3-5 years working with medical professionals, and a BS/BA (MBA preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office; Salesforce CRM preferred; strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities; willingness to travel up to 50%.

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Business, Public Affairs, or a related field
  • MBA or other related graduate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years in outside sales, business development, or related experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working with medical professionals and/or medical Operations/Marketing
  • Experience with budgeting, reporting, and data analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize market data and field intelligence to uncover and capitalize on new market opportunities and achieve sustained referral growth by navigating the referral relationship funnel/sales cycle
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry and regulatory environment including HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, and Stark Laws
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • CRM systems experience; Salesforce preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Discretion with PHI and regulatory compliance
