Job Summary
Director of Business Development leads and coordinates the facility's business development and marketing efforts to grow revenues and expand referrals, developing and retaining physician and professional relationships, guiding a high-performing team, and implementing programs to position the facility competitively. Responsibilities include strategic planning, staff hiring and performance management, scheduling and contingency staffing, ensuring quality and safety compliance, stakeholder engagement with physicians and referral sources, delivering workshops and presentations to educate clients and referral networks, maintaining referral-admission records, reporting trends and opportunities, and representing the facility at professional functions. The role requires building and sustaining relationships with physicians, clinicians, community organizations, insurers, and other health providers, and collaborating with discharge planners and management to optimize admissions and market utilization. Onsite nationwide role with a focus on the Tucson facility, demanding leadership, analytical capabilities, and strong relational skills to drive census growth and profitability.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Behavioral Health, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Four or more years’ experience in healthcare business development and marketing role required, preferably in behavioral health or substance use disorder
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with access to automobile
