Job Summary
Director of Business Development responsible for profitability across all Test Services locations, with a primary focus on generating new business. Collaborates with VP of Sales and VP of Marketing to develop and implement programs to increase short, medium, and long-term sales; educates customers on the benefits of Test Services; leads pricing updates based on cost/profitability and competitive analyses; conducts regular meetings with staff supervisors; oversees performance reviews and growth opportunities; coordinates recruitment and team-building activities; monitors budgeting and R&D evaluation; drives growth strategies with the home office and across sites. Required: Advanced Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or Materials Science; extensive sales/marketing experience in identifying and securing new business; coaching and mentoring experience; ability to handle customer/staff issues; travel 25-40%. Desired: coatings or materials testing experience, especially in Accredited Test/Calibration Lab; advanced business degree. Onsite at one of three US locations (Homestead, FL; Wittmann, AZ; Cleveland, OH) with relocation assistance and 25-40% travel. Required Qualifications
- Advanced Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or Materials Science
- Demonstrated years of sales and marketing experience/successes, especially in uncovering and developing new business opportunities
- Proven ability in staff coaching, mentoring, and inspiring/motivating teams
- Experience in diffusing customer and staff issues and complaints
- Must be willing and able to travel 25-40%
