Job Summary
Manage the sales team's performance, development, and accountability through regular coaching on prospecting, deal management, and target tracking. Build annual, quarterly, and monthly sales plans aligned with company growth objectives while designing standardized processes from lead generation through post-sale handoff. Maintain a robust, accurate pipeline by partnering with Marketing on campaign design and analytics to ensure CRM data integrity and timely deal progression. Drive client retention and account expansion through upsell and cross-sell initiatives, representing the company at industry events and collaborating with Project Management for smooth client delivery. Own revenue targets and forecast status, implementing improvement plans when targets are missed and recommending process changes based on data-driven insights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- 7+ years of progressive sales experience, including 3+ years in a sales leadership or management role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a B2B environment
- Experience managing a sales team of comparable size and structure
- CRM proficiency required (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel for client meetings and industry events
- Ability to pass motor vehicle record (MVR) screening and background check
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop talent and hold a team accountable to goals
- Skilled in building and refining sales processes, playbooks, and forecasting methods
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across clients, internal teams, and leadership
- Data-driven approach to decision making, with the ability to analyze pipeline and conversion metrics to identify trends and opportunities
- Working knowledge of pricing, margins, and commission structures, and ability to partner effectively with Finance
- Strategic thinker able to balance big-picture growth planning with hands-on execution
- Comfortable operating with autonomy and ownership across the full sales and marketing function, not just a single product or vertical
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (e.g., seated at a desk) for extended periods of time
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and operating office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, copier, fax)
- Ability to move about the office to access files, supplies, office equipment, and assist visitors
- Clear vision and hearing required for reading documents, computer work, and communicating effectively in person and via phone
- Ability to speak clearly and be understood in one-on-one conversations and during phone calls
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and 60 lbs regularly
- Regularly performs tasks involving squatting, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead
