Job Summary
The Director of Business Development, Power Solutions will be responsible for managing relationships with Tier 1 Hyperscalers and Data Center Owner/Operators, addressing challenges in grid availability, power quality, and energy resilience. The role requires leading commercial engagements that involve complex technology solutions including on-site generation, battery storage, and power conversion. Candidates must have extensive experience in technical sales or business development within the energy sector, along with a deep understanding of the data center power stack and a proven ability to close large infrastructure deals. The position requires effective collaboration with technical teams and excellent strategic planning abilities.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of technical sales &/or business development experience in the Critical Infrastructure or Energy sector
- Proven track record of closing complex, multi-million-dollar infrastructure deals
- Understanding of utility interconnection challenges, microgrid architectures, and the regulatory landscape for behind-the-meter power
- Ability to travel as required – expected travel requirement approximately 30-50%
Desired Qualifications
- MBA is a plus
- Deep functional knowledge of the data center power stack
- Experience selling or managing at least three of the following: Power Generation, Power Conversion Devices, Battery Energy Storage Systems, Uninterruptible Power Supply technologies, SCADA / Controls & Cybersecurity
