Director of Business Development, Multifamily

Job Summary
Build new relationships with multifamily owners, developers, investors, lenders, and capital partners to generate qualified meetings through cold outreach, referrals, networking, and strategic introductions. Maintain an active pipeline from first contact through contract execution while coordinating proposal and RFP responses with internal teams. Lead client strategy throughout the sales process, participate in management agreement negotiations, and support new business pursuits via property due diligence and site visits. Represent PeakMade as a best-in-class operating partner by leveraging industry events to create opportunities and staying current on market trends and ownership changes. This role requires 5+ years of business development experience in third-party multifamily property management or related commercial real estate fields, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of successful business development experience within third-party multifamily property management, multifamily ownership, investment sales, development or a closely related commercial real estate field
- Demonstrated ability to create opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship development rather than relying primarily on inbound leads
- Comfortable making cold calls, initiating conversations with senior executives and building relationships from the ground up
- Experience leading proposals, RFPs and client presentations
- Strong financial and analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and Word
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency, ownership and accountability
- Ability to travel frequently and represent PeakMade professionally
- Position is remote with preference for candidates in the Midwest or Eastern United States
