Job Summary
Director of Business Development, Affiliate Marketing role leading an integrated affiliate, influencer, and performance PR practice. Senior, client-facing new-business position responsible for building the pipeline, leading pitches, shaping proposals, and closing deals; selling integrated programs focused on performance, attribution, and ROI. Responsibilities include reaching out to e-commerce prospects, prospecting core verticals (apparel, health and beauty, sports/outdoors), managing pipeline through warm outreach and referrals, collaborating on pitch decks and RFP responses, and representing the company at industry events. Requires 5+ years in digital marketing or agency settings, deep affiliate platforms expertise (Impact, Rakuten, Partnerize, AWIN, CJ), familiarity with influencer platforms (ShopMy, LTK), and willingness to travel 30-50%. Fully onsite office in Denver, LO/Union Station; not remote/hybrid. Competitive compensation with base salary $100k-$125k plus variable/OTE $140k-$190k.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of business development, sales, or partnerships experience in a digital marketing or agency setting
- A proven track record of closing net-new business against sales targets
- Experience selling to CMOs and VPs of Marketing at e-commerce, DTC, and retail brands
- Familiarity with Sandler, Challenger, or a similar sales methodology is a plus
- Affiliate & Platform Expertise: Strong expertise in affiliate marketing fundamentals, including partner models, commissioning strategies, attribution, and platform ecosystems
- Deep familiarity with affiliate networks and platforms including Impact, Rakuten, Partnerize, AWIN, and CJ
- Experience with influencer-affiliate platforms such as ShopMy and LTK
- Influencer, Creator & Social Commerce Knowledge: The ability to articulate the difference between TikTok influencers and TikTok affiliates
- Familiarity with social commerce and creator-led conversion programs, including TikTok Shop
- An understanding of brand ambassador and creator community strategies and their role in driving sustained revenue
- A working understanding of how performance PR extends and amplifies affiliate
- An Established Presence in the Affiliate Industry: Willingness to travel 30-50% for industry events and client meetings
