Job Summary
Develop and oversee comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, retirement, and wellness initiatives, while ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations. Lead the administration of disability programs, life insurance, and leave plans, managing vendor relationships and optimizing program performance. Partner with executive HR leadership to execute an integrated Total Rewards strategy, develop metrics to evaluate program effectiveness, and drive continuous process improvement. Direct all benefits operations, enhance technology platforms, and serve as the escalation point for complex employee issues while mentoring a high-performing team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive benefits leadership experience managing complex employee benefits programs
- Acute care hospital or integrated healthcare system experience
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, IRS regulations, and healthcare reform legislation
- Experience working with HRIS platforms and benefits administration systems
- Proven success leading teams, managing multiple priorities, and driving organizational change
- Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Candidates must be willing to relocate to the Houston area
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Professional certification such as CEBS, CBP, or other HR-related credentials
