Director of Behavioral Health

Lead the clinical, operational, and financial performance of the Behavioral Health department to raise productivity to target and close documentation and billing gaps. Manage schedules, panel sizes, and access while applying productivity standards consistently to address underperformance through coaching and formal performance management. Design warm-handoff workflows to embed behavioral health in primary care visits and ensure complete, timely clinical documentation meeting Medi-Cal and grant standards. Recruit, retain, and supervise a multidisciplinary team, including licensure supervision for associate-level clinicians, while representing the department in quality improvement and strategic planning. Track encounters, revenue capture, and compliance metrics to report regularly to leadership. This on-site role in South San Diego County requires evening hours and proficiency with eClinicalWorks, with bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
