Job Summary
Director of Arts in Medicine and Wellbeing at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and The Momentary leads a strategic, cross-disciplinary portfolio that integrates arts with health and wellbeing. The role oversees partnerships with AWSOM and healthcare institutions, drives program development and evaluation, and ensures high-quality, scalable programs across clinical, educational, and public-facing contexts. Responsibilities include strategic leadership, partnership cultivation, implementation of arts-in-medicine initiatives, supervision of staff and contractors, ensuring impact through evidence-informed practice, exploring earned-income and funding opportunities, and representing the portfolio in external networks. Requires an advanced degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of senior leadership experience across arts-in-medicine, museum education, healthcare, or related fields, with strong budget, planning, and collaboration capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Arts in Medicine, Museum Education, Medical Humanities, Public Health, or similar, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in arts-in-medicine, museum education, healthcare, or related fields, including strategic planning, program development, and delivery
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; willingness and ability to travel as needed
