Job Summary
Lead clinical and strategic direction for the Electrophysiology section, developing an EP fellowship program and establishing new clinical pathways to expand procedural and referral volume. Collaborate with faculty across advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, and cardiovascular imaging to advance the academic, clinical, and teaching missions of the Division of Cardiology. Mentor junior faculty and trainees while supporting research leadership to expand clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies in electrophysiology. This Associate Professor or Professor role supports the Capital Region's only academic tertiary care hospital as we grow our team of 18 cardiologists and 5 advanced practice providers.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO (or equivalent) with board certification in Cardiovascular Disease and/or Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
- Fellowship training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology
- Experience working in an academic medical center with evidence of leadership, program development, and research involvement
- Record of teaching, mentorship, and scholarly achievement aligned with appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across specialties
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New York
