Job Summary
Lead clinical and strategic direction for the Electrophysiology section, developing a new fellowship program and expanding procedural volume through clinical pathways and outreach. Collaborate with faculty across advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiovascular imaging to advance the Division's academic, clinical, and teaching missions. Support education and development of fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers while mentoring junior faculty to enhance scholarly productivity. Partner with institutional research leadership to expand clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies. This role supports the growth of a 18-cardiologist and 5-APC team within Albany Medical College's established tertiary care hospital, offering a competitive salary range of $470,000-$500,000 based on academic rank.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO (or equivalent) with board certification in Cardiovascular Disease and/or Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
- Fellowship training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology
- Experience working in an academic medical center with evidence of leadership, program development, and research involvement
- Record of teaching, mentorship, and scholarly achievement aligned with appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across specialties
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New York
