Job Summary
Lead clinical and strategic direction for the Electrophysiology section, developing a fellowship program and establishing new clinical pathways to expand procedural volume. Collaborate with faculty across advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, and cardiovascular imaging while mentoring junior faculty and trainees in scholarly productivity. Work with institutional research leadership to expand clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies, advancing the academic, clinical, and teaching missions of the Division of Cardiology. This role supports the growth of a team of 18 cardiologists and 5 advanced practice providers within Albany Medical College's established electrophysiology program.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO (or equivalent) with board certification in Cardiovascular Disease and/or Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
- Fellowship training in clinical cardiac electrophysiology
- Experience working in an academic medical center with evidence of leadership, program development, and research involvement
- Record of teaching, mentorship, and scholarly achievement aligned with appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across specialties
- Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New York
