Job Summary
Provide strategic and academic leadership for the Anatomic Pathology Division, promoting high-quality diagnostic services and overseeing quality, compliance, and laboratory partnerships under CLIA and CAP requirements. Guide new initiatives and technology adoption while supporting the education of pathology residents and fellows during rotations at Grady Memorial Hospital. Manage a diverse diagnostic practice handling approximately 15,000 surgical pathology specimens, 3,200 non-GYN cytology specimens, 9,500 GYN cytology specimens, and 70 autopsies annually. Ensure adherence to institutional goals and excellence in education within one of the largest pathology residency programs in the country.
Required Qualifications
- MD, DO, or MD/PhD
- Board-certified in Anatomic Pathology
- Eligible for medical licensure in Georgia
- 3–5 years of experience in general surgical pathology and/or subspecialty practice
- Demonstrated interest in leadership roles
