Job Summary
Develop and implement a comprehensive advancement strategy aligning philanthropic efforts with Christian Academy of Knoxville's mission, including annual giving, major gifts, endowment growth, and capital campaigns. Identify, cultivate, and steward major donors through a strategic portfolio management process while expanding planned giving, matching gift, and corporate opportunities. Provide strategic leadership to the Warrior Athletic Club, Warrior Parent Association, and Arts Council, coordinating their fundraising priorities with institutional goals. Establish advancement metrics, dashboards, and reporting processes to measure progress and inform strategy, while managing the advancement budget and supervising staff. Partner with Communications, Marketing, Database Management, and Finance to integrate donor messaging and ensure accurate gift processing. Work collaboratively across school leadership and departments to foster a culture of philanthropy, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated commitment to CAK's mission, statement of faith, and Christ-centered educational environment.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, advancement, nonprofit leadership, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in major gift fundraising, donor cultivation, and advancement initiatives.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage a wide range of constituents.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise discretion, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with advancement technology, donor databases, and fundraising best practices.
- Experience with writing grants or engaging with other foundations for support
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
