Job Summary
Director of Advanced Engineering (MIM/PM Materials) leads enterprise initiatives across MIM, binder jet additive manufacturing, powder metallurgy, and hybrid CNC to translate materials innovations into production-ready solutions. Develops and executes a strategic technology roadmap aligned with business growth; drives process optimization, scalability, and cost-efficiency to improve profitability. Partners cross-functionally with operations, quality, sales, and executive leadership to align engineering capabilities with market needs; oversees qualification and commercialization of new materials and processes; ensures compliance with industry standards for high-reliability applications. Requires progressive leadership in metal injection molding and powder metallurgy, and a strong technical background in materials development and advanced manufacturing. Preference for experience in regulated industries (defense, aerospace, medical, automotive).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related technical discipline (advanced degree preferred)
- Progressive leadership experience in engineering within metal injection molding (MIM) and powder metallurgy manufacturing environments
- Strong technical background in materials development, metallurgical processes, and advanced manufacturing technologies
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in high-precision, multi-industry component manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to align engineering strategy with business objectives and commercial outcomes
- Experience serving regulated or high-reliability industries such as defense, aerospace, medical, or automotive preferred
