Job Summary
Guide prospective residents and families through the admission process, acting as the primary liaison between them and the facility. Provide supervision to admissions and marketing coordinators, assuming duties during their absence. Identify and develop referral sources while maintaining positive relationships with area hospitals and community agencies. Conduct pre-admission screenings, coordinate paperwork and assessments, and explain facility services and policies. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure proper care planning and maintain accurate documentation. Ensure smooth transitions into the care community by addressing concerns and facilitating a seamless experience.
Required Qualifications
- Business Administration degree
- 3-5 years related experience in long-term care
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the admission process within a nursing facility
- Knowledge of closing a sale's agreement
- Empathy for the needs of individuals and families during the transition process
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in the nursing needs of the aged and the chronically ill
- Ability to work with both aged and chronically ill populations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a healthcare setting
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
