Job Summary
Director of Accounting for a faith-based nonprofit with healthcare oversight overseeing multi-entity financial operations. This role leads budgeting, long-range financial planning, general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and reporting; owns audits and internal controls; develops the accounting team; and partners with leadership on capital planning and funding strategies across apostolic centers, ensuring GAAP compliance and regulatory reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, CPA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally in nonprofit or multi-entity environments
- Experience overseeing audits, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Strong command of GAAP and fund accounting (restricted vs. unrestricted funds)
- Exposure to healthcare financial reporting or similarly regulated environments
- Background managing accounting teams and driving accountability across functions
