Job Summary
Director of Accounting will oversee the accounting and payroll departments, provide GAAP-based leadership and internal controls, and support the VP, Finance and CFAO. Responsibilities include monthly financial reporting, grant accounting, audits, policy development, and LEAN Management System-driven process improvement. The role requires mentoring and developing a high-performing team, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with financial planning and senior leadership to guide organizational financial strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from a four-year college or university
- five (5) to eight (8) years related progressive accounting experience
- at least five (5) years of staff management experience
- experience with MS Office and accounting software; MIP software desired
- experience in GAAP-based accounting and internal controls
- federally qualified healthcare center experience a plus
- CPA preferred
