Job Summary
Own the monthly close across all entities, including journal entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, and minority interest consolidation. Lead the general ledger team to establish technical standards for healthcare net revenue, lease accounting, and debt management, while rebuilding reconciliation processes with independent review controls. Drive external audit preparation and remediation, and build accounting playbooks for de novo center openings, acquisitions, and joint ventures. Establish a close calendar with clear exit criteria and improve Sage Intacct usage to support platform growth. This hands-on role focuses on raising the technical standard of the accounting function for a multi-site ambulatory surgery center organization backed by private equity, ensuring the structure supports active acquisition and new center development.
Required Qualifications
- 7 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience
- ownership of a full monthly close
- Public accounting foundation
- industry experience at a multi-site healthcare provider organization
- Strong command of healthcare net revenue recognition and accounts receivable valuation under ASC 606
- Multi-entity consolidation experience
- Demonstrated experience reviewing the work of others and developing accounting staff
- A track record of building or rebuilding a close process, reconciliation standards, or a control environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- experience with a mid-market ERP
