Job Summary
Director of Accounting role overseeing general accounting for Aldevron & IDT, including SOX compliance and monthly close. Lead the General Accounting team to ensure timely, accurate consolidated information for internal/corporate reporting; implement and maintain a strong SOX-control environment; resolve complex accounting issues at the OpCo level; act as a US GAAP technical resource; draft whitepapers supporting accounting positions; support audits (external and internal). Requires a Bachelor's in accounting with 14+ years of experience or a Master's/Doctoral with 12+ years and 4+ years of people-management experience. Proficiency with ERP/consolidation tools (D365, SAP, OneStream); travel 20% (overnight) and valid driver's license. CPA preferred; experience in manufacturing or large/publicly-traded organizations is a plus. Remote consideration available for candidates able to travel monthly.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 14+ years of experience OR Master's/Doctoral degree with 12+ years' experience AND related 4+ years managing people
- Extensive understanding of GAAP and all accounting/finance regulations
- Systems fluency in ERP/consolidation tools (e.g., D365, SAP, OneStream) to oversee mappings, validations, intercompany eliminations, & balance sheet/income statement tie outs
- CPA preferred
- Travel 20% with overnight travel; valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Experience in large or publicly traded manufacturing organizations (preferred)
- Knowledge in various accounting/finance roles, manufacturing operations (preferred)
