Director of Accounting/Corporate Controller

Job Summary
Lead all day-to-day accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Revenue Recognition, Payroll Accounting, Accruals, and Reconciliations. Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes while maintaining integrity of financial records and reporting structures. Oversee preparation of financial statements, coordinate external audits, and establish accounting policies that support scalability and GAAP compliance. Drive process improvements through automation and AI-enabled solutions to streamline workflows and improve close timelines. Collaborate with executive leadership on forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and acquisition due diligence. Lead and develop the accounting team, setting goals and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- CPA designation required or strongly preferred
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 3+ years leading accounting teams
- Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments
- Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and integration activities
- Experience implementing process automation and accounting technologies
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and audit practices
- Experience leading month-end and year-end close processes
- Advanced Excel and financial systems experience
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare staffing, professional services, or workforce solutions
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
