Job Summary
Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting oversees accounting operations and leads FP&A for the Americas Region (~$1B revenue). Responsible for financial statement preparation (GAAP/IFRS), budgeting, forecasting, audits, regulatory reporting, policy updates, and internal controls. Provides strategic financial insights to senior management, guides and develops the accounting team, supports M&A activities including financial modeling and due diligence, and manages corporate accounting activities including insurance, hedging, banking, and import/bond requirements. Requires directing mid-level to senior professionals, with accountability for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with parent company directives while enabling long-term growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 8+ years relevant experience in accounting/finance
- 10+ years managing accounting teams
- Experience with large ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- CPA preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office, Excel, and accounting GL software
- Attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
