Job Summary
Supervise nursing staff and inmate care while attending sick calls, examining patients, and coordinating physician orders for medications and treatments. Manage the pill cart, dispense controlled substances, administer immunizations, and conduct contact investigations for CID needs. Plan public health programs, coordinate CID meetings, and provide health education on an individual or group basis. Maintain security by inspecting units for contraband, controlling supplies, and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Perform on-call duties, rescue functions during emergencies, and assist with legal responses to inmate lawsuits. Facilitate facility accreditation and prepare safety reports. Requires an Ohio RN license, three years of experience, and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- College degree in nursing
- Current, valid nursing license as an RN for the state of Ohio
- Three (3) years of nursing experience
- Current CPR certification
- Work within the Ohio state board of Nursing scope of practice
- Valid driver's license in the state of Ohio with an acceptable driving record
- Appropriate facility security clearance
