Job Summary
Nuclear Site Engineering Director responsible for leading the Site Engineering Department to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of Vistra’s nuclear plant(s). Key duties include managing staffing and performance, delivering timely engineering resolutions, setting priorities for design modifications, budgeting and cost control, interfacing with regulators, coordinating major scope work with OEM vendors, and fostering a diverse, collaborative culture. Requires an engineering degree, a minimum of 10 years nuclear experience, strong knowledge of nuclear codes and standards, budgeting/planning/scheduling, and preferably SRO certification; position anchored at one of the four nuclear sites with direct involvement in plant safety and reliability.
Required Qualifications
- An Engineering degree or related technical field
- At least 10 years of related nuclear experience
- Technical understanding of nuclear plant processes/programs
- SRO Certification/License for Nuclear Power Plant (preferred)
- Knowledge of nuclear codes, standards and regulations; budgeting, planning and scheduling, Vistra policies and procedures, nuclear station policies and procedures, and nuclear safety analysis and principles and practices
