Job Summary
Director, Nuclear Maintenance leads the maintenance department at Vistra nuclear sites, directing activities in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls (I&C) disciplines. Responsible for development and monitoring of department budgets, maintaining preventive and predictive maintenance programs, training and supervising maintenance personnel, and directing contractors on plant maintenance matters. Requires eight years of nuclear industry experience (four years at an operational nuclear power plant) with supervisory/management experience; college-degree or certification-based qualifications applicable to maintenance roles; strong problem-solving abilities and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Senior Reactor License or equivalent knowledge is preferred. Location will be based at one of Vistra's four nuclear sites (Oak Harbor, Perry, Glen Rose, Shippingport).
Required Qualifications
- Eight years related experience in the nuclear industry or equivalence
- Four years of experience at an operational nuclear power plant
- During the four years, the individual shall have held positions in maintenance at the supervisory or management level
- Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications applicable to above skills
- Problem solving expertise and techniques to address issues
- Senior Reactor License OR Senior Reactor License certification OR equivalent operational knowledge (preferred)
