Job Summary
Director, North Americas Ethics & Compliance leads strategic partnership with the Americas Head of E&C and global E&C to deliver and enhance JLL's corporate compliance program for North America. Responsibilities include localizing and implementing policies, building relationships with business leaders, serving as the primary compliance communications contact in North America, delivering training on policies and guidance, overseeing compliance systems for monitoring and reporting in Canada and the United States, conducting process reviews to maintain policy compliance with a business mindset, and advising on data handling practices and regulatory inquiries. Requires 5+ years in corporate/compliance and financial crime risk, a law degree or related Bachelor's, strong stakeholder engagement skills, deep knowledge of FINTRAC/AML/privacy frameworks (PIPEDA, CCPA/CPRA), and experience implementing compliance frameworks. Location: Toronto, ON; on-site. Estimated compensation 150,000 CAD – 207,000 CAD per year translated to USD equivalents for annualized salary.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience managing corporate compliance and financial crime risk in North America
- Law degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Strong stakeholder presence and effective communication and collaboration skills
- Deep knowledge of corporate compliance topics (financial crime, anti-corruption, privacy, AML including FINTRAC and FinCEN)
- Experience advising on implementation of corporate compliance frameworks (policies, procedures, controls)
- Ability to balance compliance with operational realities and commercial objectives
- Self-starting, entrepreneurial with multi-tasking and urgency
- Experience working with global teams and senior leaders across matrixed organizations
- Curiosity and innovative mindset, leveraging AI as a tool to enhance compliance practices
- Excellent advisory and issue-resolution capabilities
- Strong training development and delivery skills
- Ability to navigate complex ethical dilemmas and regulatory changes
- Regulatory and risk management mindset with practical business enablement
