Job Summary
Director, Neuromuscular US Patient Advocacy leads strategy and collaboration with neuromuscular patient communities (e.g., DMD, DM-1, FSHD) to understand unmet needs, mobilize patients for better care, and reduce access barriers. Builds long-term relationships with patient organizations, educates and mobilizes patients to advocate for optimal care, and Elevates patient voices among healthcare providers, policymakers, and payers. Develops and executes integrated advocacy strategies aligned to business priorities, embeds patient insights across corporate affairs, and leads the Patient Advocacy TA team. Applies AI-enabled tools to strengthen advocacy and develop AI-based educational resources addressing unmet patient and caregiver needs. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years in patient advocacy or related healthcare/pharma fields, with 2+ years in an industry patient advocacy role; strong relationship-building, launch experience, and leadership across cross-functional partners are desired. Salary range $152,600 to $283,400 per year with standard benefits; US-based and eligible employees receive comprehensive benefits and equity opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 12+ years of experience in patient advocacy or related discipline with a healthcare and/or pharmaceutical background, prior experience in neuromuscular and rare disease areas preferred
- 2+ years in industry patient advocacy role required
