Job Summary
Own the strategy and playbook for building and scaling Wellthy's backup care network, prioritizing markets, sequencing expansion, and setting standards for coverage and provider quality. Translate strategy into concrete outreach plans, lead grassroots efforts to recruit caregivers from daycare centers and elder care facilities, and negotiate partnership agreements with vendors. Manage end-to-end provider partnerships, including recruiting and credentialing, while coaching a team of network builders to meet territory goals. Track network health metrics, flag supply gaps, and coordinate with Trust & Safety, Finance, and Client Success to ensure safe, reliable coverage ahead of new employer launches.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years building networks, partnerships, or supply from scratch in a marketplace, gig-economy, or two-sided platform business
- experience defining the network build strategy
- Track record of setting market-prioritization and expansion strategy
- personally opening new markets or networks against it
- Demonstrated success recruiting and vetting service providers, gig workers, or caregivers at scale
- A true 'boots on the ground' operator who is equally comfortable setting strategy and personally doing the outreach, cold calling/emailing, and closing local partnerships
- Experience managing or mentoring a small team
- ability to set clear territory goals and hold people accountable to them
- Comfortable juggling many local relationships and priorities at once without losing momentum on any of them
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills with external partners and vendors
- Desire to work in a startup environment: rigorous, energetic, and flexible
