Job Summary
Director, MSL Lead, Oncology West guiding the Western US Field Medical Science Liaison (MSL) organization. Responsible for integrating scientific expertise with brand and portfolio strategies, developing regional engagement plans, and overseeing KOL outreach and relationship-building. Lead, mentor, and coach Field MSLs to drive clinical and business objectives, ensure timely scientific exchange, and align cross-functional teams with regulatory and compliance guidelines. Maintain deep knowledge of prostate cancer and hematology developments, support evidence-generation activities, and provide clinical resources for commercial training and professional services. Travel 50%+ with a primarily remote work setup and periodic on-site meetings to collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in medical science (MD, PharmD, PhD)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience with demonstrated success in pharmaceutical field-based experience and/or related experience; prior experience managing MSLs strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience
- Knowledge of oncology clinical and therapeutic issues in prostate cancer and hematology, AML preferred
- Ability to travel 50% or greater
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
