Job Summary
Lead and grow the technology resources supporting the Individual Segment mobile team, providing frequent performance feedback and mentoring for direct reports. Drive delivery of major initiatives by identifying dependencies, clearing roadblocks, and collaborating with product, UX, and engineering teams to translate requirements into clear tasks. Establish and enforce standards for mobile technology solutions, define roadmaps including application ownership, and act as the technical escalation point for internal and external stakeholders. Manage the overall IT budgeting process, forecasts, and projections while continuously improving team capabilities through talent acquisition and development. Act as a touchpoint for technical inquiries across engineering leadership, customer support, and vendors, ensuring alignment with strategic imperatives and fostering an inclusive culture.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of development experience on iOS and/or Android
- 2 or more years of engineering management experience
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Conflict resolution skills including the ability to navigate difficult conversations, both on your team and with stakeholders
- Experience working with remote employees
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with other front-end technologies such as React Native, React and Angular
- Knowledge of agile quality and testing methods (BDD, TDD, Unit Testing and Automation)
- Experience in continuous delivery and integration
- Previous banking or financial industry experience
