Job Summary
Director, Mission Systems, Advanced Effects leads the seeker and sensing systems for autonomous, mission-ready air systems. Responsibilities include directing trades for communications, sensing, and effector systems to achieve mission outcomes; architecting autonomous, multi-function payload concepts and interfaces; developing and validating physics-based models and validated effects-based models for mission-level modeling and simulation; coordinating with test & integration engineers, AD&S teams, and subcontractors or internal teams to meet performance and schedule goals; defining subsystem requirements, driving technical performance, and contributing to IRAD planning and proposal scope. Requires ownership of system development efforts, vendor engagement, and cross-team collaboration to deliver high-performance autonomous capabilities and successful vehicle integration.
Required Qualifications
- Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- Communications, sensors, and effector domain expertise in Radar, EO/IR, RF, and EW systems
- Physics-based modeling and analysis of system performance
- 5+ years in payload integration and validation
- 10+ years in relevant Science and/or Engineering related field
