Job Summary

Lead a 6-person MSL team as a player-coach, managing daily operations, recruitment, training, and performance reviews while serving as the primary MSL for a designated territory. Develop and execute scientific interaction plans for on-market and pipeline products, conduct field co-rides and 1:1s with direct reports, and ensure high-quality engagement with Key Opinion Leaders and healthcare professionals. Coordinate cross-functional activities with Brand, Marketing, and Medical teams to align field strategies with business objectives, manage operational logistics including expense approvals and vendor contracts, and maintain compliance with all guidelines. Requires advanced degree, 5+ years industry experience, and 50–60% travel to Dallas, TX.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in health sciences or clinical discipline
  • Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and the role of Medical Affairs in contributing to the medical and scientific objectives
  • A minimum of 5 years clinical, scientific/research, or pharma industry related experience
  • At least 2 of those years as an MSL
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills
  • Proven success in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively cross functionally
  • Experience managing and resolving challenging personnel issues
  • Ability to travel regularly (approximately 50–60%)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operational and administrative responsibilities (e.g., expense approvals, vendor contracting, tool and resource management) alongside active field engagement duties

Desired Qualifications

  • Doctorate level degree (i.e. Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD)
  • Prior line management experience of a field-based MSL team
  • Experience as a player-coach or working manager
  • Local language and English
  • Experience with OR/surgical suite environments
  • Familiarity with credentialing and OR certification processes
