Job Summary
Director, Medical Affairs, Nephrology leads medical/scientific strategy in IgA nephropathy within GCC with a focus on KSA, coordinating cross-functional teams to execute country medical plans, interpret data for healthcare professionals and payers, support patient access and reimbursement, oversee medical training for field teams, contribute to the Brand Team with therapy-area expertise, ensure regulatory and data integrity compliance, and engage in strategic medical education and communication activities. The role requires strong nephrology knowledge, experience in medical communications, ability to operate in a multinational environment, leadership and people-management capabilities, and a scientific background (Physician/PhD/PharmD) with 10+ years in medical affairs in the multinational pharma sector in the KSA market. The position offers Hybrid-Eligible or On-Site work arrangements with potential remote options up to two days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Nephrology (Kidney disease)
- Experience in writing or reviewing scientific communications
- Good understanding of the pharmaceutical industry
- International setting
- Ability to develop relationships in a highly matrixed environment, as well as external relationships with leaders and industry experts
- Experience in designing, planning medical strategies and executing medical education and communication activities
- Strong understanding of statistical methods
- Leadership and significant people manager experience
- Education and Experience: Scientific background (e.g., Physician, PhD or PharmD)
- Minimum 10 years of medical affairs experience in multinational pharmaceutical in KSA market
