Job Summary
Oversee preparation and final approval of project contract documents from third-party design consultants while ensuring designs meet schedule and budget targets. Supply engineering expertise on existing facilities, develop and maintain equipment specifications for owner furnished and contractor installed systems, and manage vendor submittal reviews and factory witness testing. Maintain legacy basis of design documents, assist in developing new designs for emerging needs, and implement new technologies to maximize energy and cost efficiency. Communicate engineering policies, standards, and security measures across operations. This Director role supports campus master planning and innovation initiatives for multi-phase construction projects at STACK's Denver, CO data centers.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must pass comprehensive background screening
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in the design of data centers and specification of HVAC equipment for mission critical facilities
- Expertise in IT cooling technologies, both air and direct to chip liquid
- Understanding of mechanical cooling system control
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint
- Baseline proficiency of AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat
- Some domestic travel required, estimated 25-33%
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) Registration is Preferred (Mechanical)
