Job Summary
Oversee global materials and supply chain operations, establishing and enforcing best-practice policies and procedures. Develop, implement, and manage material handling aligned with lean manufacturing and lean logistics to support shop floor efficiency. Establish methods and best practices for inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control; develop and track materials management metrics and perform root-cause analysis to drive continuous improvement. Drive efficiency in warehouse operations including inventory management, staging, quality, and logistics; develop operating guidelines for inventory and warehousing; monitor inventory accuracy and implement corrective actions with direct reports. Represent materials on corporate task forces; manage department budget and resources; participate in cross-functional operations decisions; collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to achieve cost reduction targets. Lead through managers of managers, shaping functional strategy and ensuring ethical conduct aligned with company standards. Travel: Yes, 25%.
