Job Summary
Directs and prepares live and pre-recorded productions for WDBJ and WDBJ.com, coordinating with the newsroom and other departments to deliver top-rated television and digital programs. Responsible for all technical aspects of the newscast, including video, audio, graphics, transitions, and camera movements, and for operating Viz Mosart (cameras and audio console), Photoshop, and supporting equipment in the Master Control room; occasional use of Edius and Premiere Pro. Performs regular maintenance, trains new personnel, and ensures FCC program and transmitter logs compliance, ENPS operation, and overall studio readiness. Will work variable schedules including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Requires 6 months to 1 year of TV production/master control experience.
