Job Summary
Director, Marketplace Marketing is a senior marketing leader responsible for go-to-market strategies and execution for U.S. Marketplace (buyer-focused) and the Global Partner network (supplier-focused). The role blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, grounding activities in the voice of the market and ROI-focused metrics. Key duties include defining buyer acquisition strategies, enabling the Sales organization with messaging and tools, driving market-driven campaigns, deepening global partner engagement, and collaborating across Sales, Product, Operations, and Marketing to align initiatives with business priorities. The role requires 12+ years in B2B marketing with 5+ years leading teams, preferably in tech/SaaS/marketplace environments, and comfort with data-driven decision making, ROI measurement, and cross-functional leadership. The position is described as hybrid with US-based locations in Lexington, KY; North Bethesda, MD; and Boston, MA. The base salary range is $150,000-$180,000 annually plus bonus, with a comprehensive benefits package and strong emphasis on leadership and strategic execution.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years in B2B marketing
- at least 5 years leading teams
- experience in tech-based businesses, SaaS, or marketplace environments preferred
