Job Summary
Director, Marketing Services Delivery (Agency Strategy) will lead evaluation, scoping, and negotiation of all agency engagements and serve as the bridge between internal objectives and external marketing partners. Primary responsibilities include end-to-end negotiations on pricing, resourcing, and deliverables; establishing consistent ways of working with agencies; optimizing agency utilization and reducing cost; overseeing KPI/SLA governance and performance reporting; budgeting and financial forecasting for agency engagements; ensuring ROI and value delivery while maintaining quality. Requires strong collaboration with Delivery leads and cross-functional partners, extensive experience with agency relationships, contract negotiations, and cost structures in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 8-10 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g. MBA)
- Experience with marketing, event or creative agencies, with understanding of agency pricing models, cost structures, and resourcing approaches
- Experience developing, reviewing, and negotiating Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Strong financial acumen; ability to evaluate cost structures, challenge assumptions, and drive cost-efficient outcomes while maintaining quality
- Proven track record of negotiating with agency partners; balance relationship management with business objectives
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed organization across multiple functions (Business Development, Delivery, Finance, Procurement, agencies)
- Experience building and scaling processes/frameworks for vendor/agency management; standardizing ways of working
