Job Summary
Director Market Risk responsible for running and maintaining analytical tools for risk management in US power and natural gas markets, monitoring and reporting risk metrics to senior management, and engaging with executive leadership to ensure risk positions are understood and managed within limits. Role is onsite in Houston, requiring collaboration with Supply, Operations, and technology teams; preferred background in deregulated energy markets, financial modeling, and advanced analytical skills; requires experience with trading systems and risk concepts, plus proficiency in Excel and programming (SQL, Python, R).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required in Finance, Economics or any other hard science quantitative.
- 8 - 10 years of work experience in Energy commodities trading, commodities financing, financial markets with a minimum of six (6) years in a Market Risk, Management role.
