Job Summary
Define and execute the Netherlands market access strategy to ensure timely patient access to oncology therapies, leading engagement with payers, HTA bodies, and health authorities. Partner with regulatory, commercial, and medical affairs teams to deliver launch activities by developing evidence-based HTA, pricing, and reimbursement dossiers while driving value demonstration. Lead negotiations with national payers and statutory health insurance decision makers to optimize reimbursement approvals through innovative pricing and value-based contracting models. Monitor local health policy developments and align regional access strategies with broader European objectives. Represent the company in local trade associations and contribute to leadership team meetings to shape overall business strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (e.g., Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Health Economics, Public Health)
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in market access, pricing, reimbursement or health economics (pharma/biotech) in Netherlands
- Proven value and benefit assessment experience, with deep understanding of Netherlands payer decision-making
- Demonstrated success and experience supporting oncology product pre-launch, launch and post launch in Netherlands
- Demonstrated success in negotiating pricing and reimbursement conditions with public administrations and health authorities
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate with internal and external partners
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Scientific and solution-orientated mindset and capability to move and execute in a rapidly changing, ambiguous environment
- Strong understanding of local healthcare systems, customer dynamics, and reimbursement environments
- Experience in a biotech and/or in a build-out
- High capacity of social competence for teamwork, coaching and situational leadership
- Travel nationally and internationally
